England captain Stokes has surgery after being hit in face by ballLONDON, Feb 11, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - England Test captain Ben Stokes says that he has undergone successful surgery after being struck in the face by a cricket ball. "You should see the state of the cricket ball," read the caption, alongside a laughing face emoji. On Tuesday he posted again from hospital with a photo of his swollen face and the caption: "May not look like it but the surgery was a success." Stokes is back in England following a woeful Ashes tour, which ended with a 4-1 series loss to Australia. Stokes is no longer a member of England's white-ball set-up and isn't at the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.

According to the document, the FBI is conducting a probe into allegations of "electoral impropriety" in the 2020 election and "whether any of the improprieties were intentional acts that violated federal criminal laws." "The FBI criminal investigation originated from a referral sent by Kurt Olsen, Presidentially appointed Director of Election Security and Integrity," it said. As potential evidence of fraud, the affidavit cited a number of previously aired claims about the 2020 vote in Fulton County, some of which have been proven false. Trump nevertheless continues to falsely claim that he won the 2020 election over Democrat Joe Biden. Fulton County chairman Rob Pitts, speaking to reporters following the FBI raid, said the county has been targeted because he "stood up to Donald Trump's big lie."

The tepid performance followed a mixed day on Wall Street, where tech firms pared recent gains amid lingering worries about extended valuations and the vast sums pumped into artificial intelligence. Traders were also awaiting key jobs data due later in the day -- and inflation figures at the end of the week -- that could provide a clearer idea about the Federal Reserve's plans ahead of its March policy meeting. Traders now see more chance of three rate cuts this year, with two already baked into prices, according to Bloomberg. While the Dow edged up to another record on Wall Street, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq dropped, with tech firms among the main losers. Asia fared marginally better, with Hong Kong, Sydney, Seoul, Taipei and Manila up, while Shanghai, Singapore and Wellington were down.

LONDON, Feb 11, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Southampton made an incredible late comeback from three goals down to beat crisis club Leicester 4-3 in the Championship on Tuesday. Leicester interim manager Andy King looked set for his first victory since taking charge after first-half goals from Divine Mukasa, Patson Daka and Abdul Fatawu at the King Power Stadium. Leicester's brittle confidence was exposed as Jack Stephens netted in the 82nd minute and Ryan Manning equalised five minutes later. Seven years after thrashing Southampton 9-0 at St Mary's, Leicester hit a devastating low of their own against the Saints. Still searching for a permanent manager following Marti Cifuentes' sacking, Leicester are outside the relegation zone only on goal difference.

LONDON, Feb 11, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Benjamin Sesko saved Michael Carrick's unbeaten start as Manchester United interim manager with a last-gasp equaliser in Tuesday's 1-1 draw against struggling West Ham. West Ham forward Crysencio Summerville had five goals in his previous five games and he almost made it six with a stinging strike that Senne Lammens pushed away at full stretch. Unable to trap West Ham with a high press, United were caught flat-footed by an incisive break. However, there was a sting in the tale for West Ham as Sesko levelled with just seconds left. Bryan Mbeumo swung in a teasing cross and Sesko deftly guided his finish past West Ham keeper Mads Hermansen from 10 yards.

Kosher Pastrami Sandwich (4.5/5)My favorite and most ordered sandwich is the Kosher pastrami sandwich. However, it is a bit less filling than the sandwich options. Chickpea-of-the-Sea Salad Sandwich (2/5)This was recommended to me by the lovely morning attendant who distributes the meals on West Campus. Kosher Egg and Cheese Bagel Sandwich (0.5/5)This sandwich is one of the worst things I have ever eaten. While I missed a few options, I would overall highly recommend the grain bowls and Kosher options (as long as you avoid the egg and cheese bagel sandwich).

Bangladesh heads into a decisive electoral test Thursday as voters across the country prepare to cast ballots in the 13th national parliamentary election, being held alongside a nationwide referendum, amid heightened security, political fragmentation and lingering uncertainty over voter participation. Voting will be conducted at 42,659 polling centres, with an additional 299 centres designated for counting postal ballots, bringing the total number of centres involved to 42,958. The EC has classified roughly half of the polling centres as “important” or “high-risk” based on past incidents and local political dynamics. More than 90% of polling centres have been fitted with CCTV cameras, though officials said the final verified figure would be released after completion of checks. Following concerns raised by media groups, the commission clarified that journalists are permitted to use mobile phones for photography and video recording at polling centres.
