The deceased were identified as Samir Biswas, 40, son of Sushil Biswas and Apu Biswas, 22, son of Prakash Biswas. Both were residents of Kharibaria village in the upazila. According to local sources, the incident occurred around 12 pm while a group of farmers were harvesting onions in a field of Kharibaria village. Among them, Ranjit Master, 63, has been admitted to Shailkupa Upazila Health Complex, where he is currently receiving treatment.

The Noida International Airport is 75 kilometres (45 miles) from the city, and will serve 12 million passengers a year in its initial phase, with the potential to grow to as many as 70 million. The approvals were given by the Defence Acquisition Council, led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, according to a statement issued late on Friday. It has also signed capital procurement contracts worth 2.28 trillion rupees ($25 billion), the highest in a single fiscal year.
