Thailand-Vietnam sign 10 deals for greater coooperation


Phuc and many of his cabinet members arrived in Bangkok in the afternoon before a plenary meeting with Prayut at Government House. Vietnamese and Thai companies also signed a number of business deals. Leaders of both sides exchanged views on the regional and global situation, according to a press statement issued after the meeting. Prayut and Phuc also reaffirmed the need to maintain peace, security and stability as well as safety and freedom of navigation in the South China Sea as well as overflights. The two premiers emphasised the need for all parties to fully implement the Declaration on the Conduct of the Parties in the South China Sea which China and Asean signed in 2002 to enhance mutual trust.
