Logo cloning: Court hears SON, businessman’s case May 7

Oladimeji RamonThe Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday adjourned further proceedings till May 7, 2018 in the case of a businessman, Nonso Udoye, who was arraigned for allegedly cloning the registration logo of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria. Though the prosecutor, Mrs. Amaka Allen-Ngbale, opposed Okoroafor’s prayer for an adjournment, saying she was ready for trial and had witnesses in court, the judge, however, exercised his discretion in the Okoroafor’s favour. He adjourned till May 7 to enable the defence lawyer to study the proof of evidence to prepare for his client’s case. The SON arraigned Udoye on February 25, 2018 on 15 counts bordering on forgery and counterfeiting. He was said to have committed the alleged offence on or about November 7, 2017 at a warehouse located at No.
