Speaking at the News18 Rising India Summit in the capital, Irani said that the current legislation is not very clear with regards to online news and broadcast content material. I’m hopeful that such a similar body will also emerge for the social media at least in the news, opinion and entertainment content,” she said. These media units were responsible for promoting government policies and programmes among the public through advertisements, films, and performance arts.
