Safe societySpeaking at the event, Civil Defence director Manisha Saxena stressed the importance of creating a safe society and nation. “The foundation of a progressive nation starts at the individual level. A safe nation can only be achieved by having the foundation of a safe mohalla,which will translate into a safe community, then a safe State and ultimately a safe nation.”Further, Ms. Saxena added that civil defence volunteers should encourage more citizens to join the services to deal with disasters in an effective manner.
