Kumaraswamy said the case had more to do with bitcoin and ‘hawala’ racket than just a normal fight. Speaking to presspersons at Hubballi airport on Tuesday, he said the assault was related to a multi-crore scam and should be investigated thoroughly. Mr. Kumaraswamy said attempts were being made to cover up the issue. On BJP national president Amit Shah’s statement that Vidvat, who was assaulted, was a BJP worker, Mr. Kumaraswamy said the party had nothing to speak about in Karnataka.
