PU teacher accuses FIA Punjab director of ‘patronising’ influential accused

Moves NAB, FIA DG against himSeeks police protection after receiving ‘life threats’LAHORE: A female teacher of the Punjab University (PU) on Thursday accused Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Punjab Director Dr Usman of creating hurdles in the way of justice and deliberately delaying her case against influential accused of cybercrime. Lecturer Khujista Rehan of the PU Law College alleged that Dr Usman was patronising the influential accused, who according to her belonged to ex-PU vice chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran. “But Dr Usman did not register the FIR, and instead created hurdles that affected the enquiry,” she alleged. Dr Usman ignored the directives from the FIA director general (DG) and did not take any action against the accused. On the other hand, FIA Punjab Director Dr Usman rejected the allegations levelled against him by the PU teacher and said that an enquiry was carried out following the complaint.
