Scammers are extorting small businesses worldwide by threatening to flood their Google Maps profiles with fake one-star reviews or demanding payment to remove reviews already posted, according to The New York Times. Fraudsters target service businesses dependent on online ratings -- movers, roofers, contractors -- demanding hundreds of dollars per incident. The Times story documents many cases, including of one Los Angeles contractor Natalia Piper, who paid $250 to multiple scammers after her rating plummeted from 5.0 to 3.6 stars.Industry watchdog Fake Review Watch documented over 150 affected businesses globally. The scammers typically operate from Pakistan and Bangladesh using WhatsApp to contact victims. Google removes most fraudulent content but offers no direct support channel for targeted businesses.

AdvertisementUnder his administration, Trump has made revoking someone’s citizenship, or denaturalization, a regular threat. People who are naturalized citizens can have their citizenship taken away in exceedingly rare but serious circumstances — and famous naturalized citizens have been the subject of Trump’s ire. AdvertisementWhat’s particularly concerning is that the government will typically file a civil lawsuit against you when it wants to take away your citizenship, Robertson noted. Trump’s political enemies like Musk and Mamdani have the resources to defend their citizenship, but the most vulnerable do not. But even if you don’t deal with this threat yourself, the potential threat is becoming more credible for naturalized citizens, because the Trump administration is pursuing cases on “minor idiosyncrasies and paperwork,” Robertson said.

I was vaguely aware of federal and state red flag laws and presumed these laws made my son ineligible to own a gun. Fifteen minutes before closing, I called the outdoor store where my son purchased the weapon, but they wouldn’t release any information. I’d originally spoken with police after my son threatened us. On Thanksgiving morning, I sent my son who’d been threatened by his brother to a relative’s house an hour away. On Black Friday, I reached the manager at the store where my son had charged the gun.

Credits: www.huffpost.comIn a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan sparked controversy when he mistakenly touted a fake AI-generated video of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as genuine. Rogan’s commentary took a peculiar turn when he described a bizarre clip shared by Rep. Riley Moore on social media. The video, which depicts a digitally altered Walz dancing provocatively in a “Fuck Trump” shirt while descending an escalator, was presented as real by Rogan. Moore had initially framed the video as a comedic representation of Walz, suggesting that if a figure like this appeared in a mall, he would likely be reported to law enforcement. As the podcast progressed, Dillon expressed curiosity about the video, prompting Rogan to request his producer, Jamie Vernon, to play the clip.

The American Freedom Party and the American Fart party have a couple things in common - the acronym, for one thing. They've also both filed paperwork with the federal election commission claiming to be a national political party. One is a silly little joke about farts, the other is a group of white nationalists who don't know how to do paperwork. Episode Transcript Available transcripts are automatically generated. If we’re not doing it, we need to do it, or we just finished doing it, or we’re going to have to do it soon. You’d think that because we can’t escape it, we’d have perfected it by now, but too many of us are doing it all wrong. That’s what we — Raj Punjabi and Noah Michelson, the co-hosts of HuffPost’s “Am I Doing It Wrong?” podcast — discovered when we recently chatted with Patric Richardson, aka The Laundry Evangelist. Richardson fell in love with cleaning clothes when he was just 2-and-a-half years old and is now the king of a laundry empire that includes sold-out laundry camps, a bestselling book, his own laundry products and an HGTV show, “The Laundry Guy.”One of the most shocking things we learned during our chat? We’re probably using the wrong kind of detergent and way too much of it, which could be hindering how clean our clothes get.

Additionally, it was 2003, and the internet was booming with online magazines depicting all sorts of sexual tastes. Drago BeeFor someone like me, who was confident working nude but ashamed of my sexual tastes, approaching the subject as a professional model felt safe. By the time I’d been modeling in the BDSM field for a year, I’d started to admit to being kinky when I was at work. As though the majority of American adults weren’t viewing pornography of some sort on a regular basis. But I can’t help but consider the potential for catastrophic data leakage, with people’s private sexual tastes being linked to their photos, and then broadcast to the rest of the world.

But when I gained my visible difference at 25, everything changed. The unhappiness and anxiety surrounding my visible difference were heightened by being part of the Instagram generation. Instead of mourning the loss of my old appearance, I began to celebrate the beauty in my visible difference. The outcome is that I no longer feel that my visible difference will be an indication of the friendships I make or experiences I have. Courtesy of Sammy TaylorEmbracing my visible difference has been a liberating journey — one filled with challenges, triumphs and endless self-discovery.
