The lawsuit, filed in D.C. Superior Court, names Brandon Anderson, who founded the nonprofit in 2017 and registered it in the District. Schwalb said in a statement. Attempts to contact Anderson, who according to the lawsuit lives in Oakland, California, and a representative of the nonprofit, were not immediately successful. Actionists lock on in front of factory gatesThis morning, Palestine Action activists have returned to the site of weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems’ UAV Engines production facility, locking on inside vehicles in front of the gates of the factory to prevent production of Israeli drone engines, in defiance of escalating police repression of pro-Palestine protest. The UAV Engines site manufactures engines for Elbit’s drones, which are tested on Palestinians and are being used by Israel in its genocidal attacks on Palestinians in Gaza. Palestine Action says that this attempted intimidation will not inhibit its resistance to the role of Elbit’s products in Israel’s genocide. The site is provided free of charge but depends on the support of its readers to be viable. If you wish to republish this post for non-commercial use, you are welcome to do so – see here for more.

Prosecutors are seeking to overturn Cannon’s ruling not only to resurrect the classified-documents case, but also to protect Justice Department appointments during the Trump administration and beyond. Once Trump won the election, Smith had few options to keep the two federal cases alive. Keeping the appeal alive with Trump’s co-defendants allows the Justice Department to possibly win a ruling that overturns the precedent set by Cannon.
