The New York Times cited "over 35 million" people from eastern Maryland to eastern Massachusetts under blizzard warnings. FOX Weather warned Boston, New York City and Philadelphia were in the storm's bull's-eye with potential totals of 18 to 24 inches for each city and peak rates of 3 to 4 inches per hour in some spots. GMA said winds could reach 55 mph in New York City and 75 mph in Boston, while the Taunton Gazette noted coastal gusts up to 70 mph. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu declared a snow emergency and ordered a parking ban starting Sunday afternoon, with towing on major arteries. Multiple outlets said this was New York City's first blizzard warning in nearly a decade.

Today, we want to hear your story: How you became a fan of the Atlanta Falcons. I wasn’t much of an NFL fan during the time I lived in Ohio — I was a huge Buckeyes fan, but as far as professional sports, we were more of a Major League Baseball family. We won tickets to see the Falcons play the Minnesota Vikings in the Georgia Dome during the 2005 season — my very first NFL game. The Falcons won 30-10, and I was obsessed. When did you first become a Falcons fan?

U.S. Secret Service agents and a Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a man who entered the secure perimeter of President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate early Sunday morning, the Secret Service said in a statement. “At that point in time, the deputy and the two Secret Service agents fired their weapons” and shot and killed the man, who died at the scene, Bradshaw said. Bradshaw said the incident happened “just inside the inner perimeter” of Mar-a-Lago, near the estate’s north gate. The gunman was killed by the Secret Service. Secret Service agents intervened, and the man was later convicted of attempted assassination.

One suspects that nobody really knows what the Atlanta Falcons are going to do with Michael Penix Jr., including the Atlanta Falcons themselves. That’s not going to stop anyone from wildly speculating, or turning to league sources. “There are some definite concerns there about Penix taking the next step on several levels. I think they’re going to be in on everything. We’ve speculated about who that quarterback might be, but it’s an absolute given that they’re going to find a way to get a player with starting upside, experience, or both.

The Department of Homeland Security reversed course Sunday morning after saying that it would suspend TSA PreCheck because of the partial government shutdown. “TSA PreCheck remains operational with no change for the traveling public,” the Transportation Security Administration said in a statement. TSA PreCheck and Global Entry are two popular programs that allow some travelers to move more quickly through airport security. Saturday’s announcement that TSA PreCheck would be suspended had drawn swift criticism. The partial shutdown of DHS operations stems from a standoff in Congress over the appropriations bill that provides money for the department.

Longtime friends and allies of Joe Biden say they are worried about the toll an aggressive form of prostate cancer is taking on the former president and his health. Biden, 83, announced last May that he was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer that had metastasized to the bone. Oncologists said some men with advanced prostate cancer can live many years with effective treatment while others deteriorate rapidly. “Bone metastasis is the most common place prostate cancer spreads but the degree is important and how it’s found,” Moul said. It is also common for metastatic prostate cancer to spread to the spine, said Gerald Denis, Shipley Prostate Cancer Research professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

A new economic indicator has captivated Silicon Valley, Wall Street and Washington. It’s clear that the huge spending on AI is adding to the U.S. economy, but the available economic data doesn’t neatly capture its effects. He calculates that AI-related spending contributed about 0.2 percentage points to the 2.2 percent U.S. economic growth last year. It’s more difficult to measure what, if anything, business and consumer use of AI is doing to economic growth. On Friday, after the release of a government estimate of economic growth for all of 2025, Rubinton said her analysis broadly stood.

TEL AVIV — In Ramat Aviv, a quiet and green neighborhood in northwest Tel Aviv, some of the buildings hit by Iranian missiles during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran last June still stand in ruins. Now, as the United States assembles a massive amount of war-fighting machinery in the Middle East, and U.S. officials say the Trump administration appears ready to undertake an extended military assault on Iran, Israelis are once again preparing for war. Such an attack risks Iranian retaliation not just against U.S. military targets but also against Israel. “After the previous Iranian war, which was really tough and scary, even thinking about the possibility is so anxiety-inducing that it makes me freeze. “We do understand that if America attacks Iran, obviously, there will be repercussions against us.”“In Israel, we have to hold these two emotions, right?

Nemesio Oseguera-Cervantes - DEANemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes was a feared Mexican drug lord and the leader of a ruthless cartel accused of masterminding efforts to push fentanyl into the United States. “In reality, El Mencho reached the cartel’s leadership through a strategy of diplomacy via marriage,” public security analyst David Saucedo told CNN en Español. “He was indeed the chief of hitmen for ‘Nacho’ Coronel (a Sinaloa Cartel leader), but he lacked the lineage that Rosalinda, his wife, possessed,” Saucedo added. It wasn’t long before the DEA added El Mencho to its most wanted list. The death of “El Mencho” on Sunday has created turmoil across the country.

Dr. Yoram Yovell, psychiatrist and neuroscientist at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem, joined CNN’s podcast Chasing Life to answer the time-honored question: Does love always hurt? “Yes, of course!” Dr. Yovell told host Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, as reported on CNN.com. But at some point, love is going to hurt. And if it doesn’t, then it might not be love.”And it turns out, when love hurts, it hurts both emotionally and physically. The same brain regions involved in physical pain light up during emotional distress, such as social exclusion and loneliness, according to Dr. Yovell.
