Tim Walz , Minnesota governor and Democratic vice-presidential candidate, said Elon Musk ’s plan to give away $1m per day in support of Donald Trump is a reflection of a ticket with “no plan”. Experts have questioned whether the plan is legal or, in effect, buying votes . “Well, I think that’s what you do when you have no plan for the public,” said Walz, when asked about the giveaway on ABC’s The View, a daytime talk show. “When you have no economic plan that’s going to benefit the middle class, when you have no plan to protect reproductive rights, when you have no plan to address climate change and produce American energy – you go to these types of tactics,” said Walz. As to whether Musk’s strategy was legal, Walz said: “I’ll let the lawyers decide.”This is the second time the Democratic presidential ticket has appeared on The View talk show in recent weeks.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy announced the new sanctions against Israeli settlers on Tuesday. The violence witnessed at al-M’u’arrajat on 16 September is but a tiny fraction of the chaos engulfing the Israeli-occupied Palestinian West Bank which has seen successive UK Governments roll out sanctions over the past year targeting Israeli settlers. “They send a signal that the governments imposing sanctions don’t care about seriously tackling the problem of illegal settlements.”Crucially, the sanctions ignore the settlers’ main sponsor; the Israeli state. Recent sanctions are still wholly insufficient and amount to no more than fiddling around the edges of the issue. Treating settler violence as an issue of terrorism rather than an issue of criminality would change everything.

For a start, half of them – Thornhill and his best mate, Keith Flint – were employed as dancers. When Flint spiked his hair and became a kind of nightmarish, dancefloor version of Johnny Rotten, spitting out the lines to their hit Firestarter, the band went stratospheric. “Keith Flint came over, gave me a hug, and said how thrilled he was for my success,” Blunt said. “We never really thought about stuff like that,” says Thornhill.

Ambulances told to leave patients in hospital corridors in bid to cut wait timesHigh Speed Ambulance In London. Picture: GettyBy Henry MooreAmbulances have reportedly been told to leave patients in hospital corridors to allow them to respond more quickly to 999 calls. The argument made by the NHS suggests it’s safer to leave patients anywhere in a hospital, rather than risk delays elsewhere. However, A&E doctors have told the Times that this practice is “not acceptable” and slammed the idea that patients would be left in corridors without a proper handover. However, speaking on the subject Nick Ferrari at Breakfast, Care Minister & Labour MP for Aberafan Maesteg, Stephen Kinnock, refuted the claims, saying patients would not be fined.
