Lawyers and students from private universities began the protest on the Supreme Court premises at 11am on Wednesday. Anti-discrimination Student Movement activists led by conveners Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah marched into the High Court premises around 12:30pm. At around noon, they began to march along the road in front of the Bangla Academy and then proceeded towards the High Court. Sarjis made a speech saying that students were calling for the resignations of judges connected with Sheikh Hasina, the Awami League, ‘the fascist government’ and ‘partisan’ judges. The protesting lawyers marched along the Supreme Court courtyard as well.
