CAIRO – 9 August 2021: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, greeted on Monday the Egyptian people and the Muslim world on the New Hijri Year 1443. “I extend my sincere greetings to the Egyptian people and the Islamic nation on the occasion of the new Hijri year. That glorious occasion that embodied the loftiest meanings of sacrifice in the love of the homeland and patience over the affliction and hardship of life.” Sisi tweeted. The university prayed to Allah to preserve the homeland and bless it with security, peace, safety and prosperity. The Hijri [Islamic] lunar calendar consists of 12 months and 354 or 355 days.
