#Fintech Oromia Bank and Visa Sign Strategic Partnership to Expand Digital Payments in Ethiopia Under the agreement, Oromia Bank customers will be able to make payments and access services using the Oromia Bank International Payment Visa Card. Oromia Bank has signed a memorandum of understanding with Visa Incorporated, marking the start of a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening international and digital payment services for customers in Ethiopia. The agreement was signed by Obo Teferi Mekonne, Chief Executive Officer of Oromia Bank, and Obo Jared, Visa Incorporated’s East Africa Zone and Ethiopian Operations Manager. Under the agreement, Oromia Bank customers will be able to make payments and access services using the Oromia Bank International Payment Visa Card. The collaboration reflects ongoing efforts to expand digital payments, improve financial accessibility, and modernize Ethiopia’s financial infrastructure.
