The Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) has recently forged an agreement with TotalEnergies Renewables Distributed Generation Middle East & Africa (DG MEA), a wholly-owned affiliate of TotalEnergies. This partnership aims to establish a solar photovoltaic project on the OCEC’s rooftop, marking a significant stride towards making OCEC the leading sustainable venue in Oman. Supported by OMRAN Group, this endeavor underscores OCEC’s commitment to environmental sustainability, aligning with the government’s objective of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050. Said Al Shanfari expressed gratitude for collaborating with OMRAN and TotalEnergies Renewables DG MEA, emphasizing the significance of this project in realizing OCEC’s carbon reduction goals and setting a precedent for green initiatives in the region.
