IPOH: A woman was seen leaving the Meru Desa Park guardhouse on foot a day after an alleged rape incident involving an assemblyman, the High Court here heard. Asked the direction that the woman was heading, he said the road led out of the residential area towards the traffic lights. “Is there any CCTV pointing to the road leading towards YB Paul’s house?” he said, referring to Yong, to which the witness replied “no”. Lee Yeong Wai said they reached Meru Desa Park at about 8.30pm and he chatted with Yong outside his house before returning home. The offence was allegedly committed in a room on the top floor of this house in Meru Desa Park between 8.15pm and 9.15pm on July 7 of that year.
