Roughly speaking, the amount of Alexa devices sold is similar to the amount of Apple Watches sold to date (50 million). The real goal here is for Amazon to push Amazon brands and own-label products. Amazon can cultivate voice to really cut out some competition (see 42 seconds in on this video - also embedded below). Right now, the best advice seems to be; educate, educate and educate. Prime real estate for early-adopters and those in offices and homes that would have voice devices.
