Earlier, Reuters reported that Hasina left the Ganabhaban in Dhaka by military helicopter at around 2:30pm on Monday, heading towards Agartala with her sister. News18 had previously reported that following her arrival in Agartala, Hasina boarded a flight to Delhi. The report also speculated that while their final destination might be London, where The Hindu says Hasina is seeking political asylum, they may spend the night in Delhi. The report speculated that Hasina might travel to Delhi and then possibly to London, though it did not cite any sources. Hasina, who has been in power for 15 and a half years as the leader of the Awami League, resigned amidst a significant public uprising.
