The High National Elections Commission (HNEC) has cancelled some results from the third group of the 2025 municipal council elections after violations were confirmed at several polling stations. The commission said the decision affects four polling centres in the Sirte electoral district and one centre in the Al-Abyar district, adding that the move falls within its legal powers. It said the measure aims to protect voters’ will and ensure transparency and equal opportunities for candidates, noting that all other results not covered by the decision remain valid.
