The “great patriotic conference in Madrid” has echoes in a flurry of National Conservative (NatCon) activity in Australia. While the Atlas Network denies that its name is drawn from Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged, the Atlas Society is dedicated to celebrating Rand’s legacy. The MPS is the inner sanctum of the Atlas Network and a centre of climate denial activity. The Atlas Network is funded by a range of beleaguered corporate sectors such as fossil fuel, tobacco and private healthcare. Orbán is now overtly connecting his influence bodies with the American fossil-fuel funded Atlas Network.
