In consideration of the safety of children, all government primary schools in the city corporation areas of all eight divisional cities under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, primary schools run under the Children Welfare Trust, and learning centres run by the Bureau of Non-Formal Education will remain closed until further notice, the Primary and Mass Education Ministry said on Wednesday. At least six people were reported dead amid day-long clashes surrounding the quota reform protest on Tuesday. The Ministry of Education had closed schools and colleges indefinitely over the violence.
