Zamalek's Moroccan winger Achraf Bencharki scored the only goal in the game four minutes before half-time. The Moroccan did not accept the referee's decision and he protested in a way that Omar did not accept, punishing the Moroccan with the second yellow card. Ismaily failed to find cracks in the defense of Zamalek in the second half, which did not witness several attempts on target from both teams. Zamalek will face Misr Lel Makkasa in the Egyptian Cup quarter-finals.
