From The Tribune staff reportsBIRMINGHAM — A Birmingham man was found in a ditch after being shot and killed on Sunday, August 13, 2023. At around 6:37 a.m., a passerby at 50 Street Southwest and Park Avenue Southwest observed the victim laying on the side of the roadway and called the police. Birmingham police officers responded to the call and when they arrived on the scene they found the victim unresponsive in a ditch on the side of the road. Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased at 6:45 a.m. The Jefferson County Coroner’s office examined the victim and determined he had been shot.
