Mayor Buddy Choat talked about the upcoming announcement at the Trussville City Council meeting on August 8. Information as to what exactly is coming was not made known but Mayor Choat said a formal announcement of the business will be made early next week. “It excites me to see business is coming to downtown Trussville. This will be a good business,” said Mayor Choat.

Pakistan is seeking a public decree from the Afghan Taliban chief declaring activities of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as un-Islamic, official sources have revealed to The Express Tribune. Pakistan wants a clear and explicit decree from the Kandhar based Taliban chief, declaring TTP attacks against Pakistan un-Islamic. On Tuesday, the Afghan Taliban spokesperson denied the involvement of Afghan nationals in terrorist attacks in Pakistan. When the Afghan Taliban returned to power two years ago, Pakistan hoped that it would address the TTP issue once and for all. Pakistan is no longer seeking talks with the TTP, something that put the Afghan Taliban in a difficult situation.

Fiscal year 2024 is shaping up to be another arduous chapter in the government’s fiscal management journey.
