From Tribune staff reportsCENTER POINT — Two teenagers were hit by gunfire in Center Point on Friday night according to Deputy Chief David Agee. On Friday October 13, 2023, at 5:46 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of gunshots near the 1800 block of Martinique Dr. NE in Center Point. “Deputies arrived and found that a 16-year-old and a 19-year-old had been injured by gunfire,” Agee said. “Both of the victims were transported to local hospitals to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.”Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office investigators are reviewing video and talking to witnesses to this offense to determine what happened. If anyone has knowledge of this offense, they are asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450.
