HTHS principal notified parents by email, updating them on the situation and explaining his decision. “I am writing to inform you that today during the Student Council Valentines Fundraiser we had a student have a medical related issue; that student is doing better at this time,” King wrote. It is our intention to reschedule the fundraiser for another date.”Trussville Fire and Rescue Chief Tim Shotts said his department responded to the incident to administer aid. The condition of the student is not known at this time.

Grimmett was confronted by a female clerk and he assaulted her in an attempt to flee, according to police. He discovered that this was a major mistake when the female clerk fought back. “When we arrived on the scene the clerk was sitting on top of the offender,” police said.
