Trump said on his Truth Social platform that after a thorough review of the “extraordinarily anti-American decision” by the court to rein in his tariff programme, the Administration was hiking the import levies “to the fully allowed, and legally tested, 15% level”. The US leader had announced an initial 10% duty in the immediate aftermath of the Supreme Court ruling. And Trump added that over the next few months, his Administration would seek further alternative ways to impose “legally permissible” tariffs.

I’m not sure there is an official definition of economic recovery. But most of the feedback I’ve received for covering the economic recovery has been negative. One is that people, or their business, or people they know, are still struggling; so how can we be talking about recovery? That raises the distinction we ought to make between a cyclical economic recovery and the big structural issues that still plague our economy. Economic growth creates stability, a platform for people to improve their lot.

He also twice raced in the individual two-day category as a uni student before tackling The Longest Day for the first time as a 23-year-old in 2009. Also helping to fuel his motivation were the ‘‘pretty aggressive cut-off times’’ for The Longest Day competitors, in which they’re pulled from the course if they’re too slow.

A study by researchers at the University of Otago, Wellington, published in the International Journal on Homelessness, found between 2016 and 2022, people with disabilities stayed in emergency housing 6% more often and for 5% longer than those without disabilities. The study drew on Stats NZ’s Integrated Data Infrastructure to analyse 65,000 people in emergency housing, including 6800 with disabilities. It found the average income for disabled people in emergency housing was $22,519, compared to $28,193 for the overall emergency housing population. "Even if disabled people are able to find an accessible private sector rental, it is often unaffordable."

Owner Penelope Johnson runs the floor and hasn’t shied away from hard work for the decade La Rumbla has been in Arrowtown. The La Rumbla one was slightly fancier than the norm, but the same element of layered potato and cheese — super wholesome and filling. Next is my favourite Spanish dish of all, and I know it isn’t for everyone, but octopus is just so divine. This girl cannot go past lamb and I really loved this lamb dish.
