Members of the Restore Passenger Rail group, which has blocked several roads in the capital in the last three weeks, said they used red spray paint to deface the facade of Gazley Motor Group on Cambridge Terrace. This is the third consecutive week that Restore Passenger Rail has created disruption in central Wellington. Oliver Gazley, dealer principal of Gazley Motor Group, said he was inside the store when people ran in front of the building, spraying the glass windows in red paint.

Redcliffs beach where a body has been foundA body found at a Christchurch beach on Wednesday morning could be a 19-year-old who went missing in May. The remains were found at Redcliffs Beach and police said they had been in the water for some time. However, police have contacted several families of missing people, to find out more about what the people were wearing when they went missing. One of those missing people is 19-year-old Lindley Khendall Ilog, who went missing from nearby New Brighton Beach in May. Today Chris Hipkins visited a student flat in Dunedin and brought two boxes of donuts with him. It’s not every day the prime minister visits a love shack, but today was no ordinary day in Dunedin. Before his arrival, everything outside the Love Shack seemed normal. Trucks rumbled past on state highway one and a nearby cherry tree was in full blossom, possibly for Hipkins’ visit, but mostly because it is spring. The whole shack shimmied, and after one last photo under the Love Shack sign, Hipkins disappeared into the wilds of state highway one.
