The state National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported Friday that its subsidiary, the Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Company, started operating its ethylene plant after a hiatus of more than ten years. The restart was achieved using only Libyan cadres, the NOC said. The Ministry of Investment of the eastern-based and House of Representatives recognised ‘‘Libyan Government’’ led by Fathi Bashagha signed a cooperation agreement to implement investment projects with the BFI Co. Consortium, the China Railways International Group Company (CRI – a subsidiary of China Railway Group Ltd – CREC), and the British Arup International Engineering Company. The agreement entails the implementation of reconstruction projects in Libyan cities, in the fields of roads, transportation and hospitals. Today marks the start of the initial stages of operation for this complex, which has not been operated for many years, NOC Chair pointed out. The visiting team specializes in the treatment of Keratoconus, Low Vision, and Laziness of the Eye in Children, and Varicose and Surgical Retinopathy. They will conduct examinations and operations for patients registered with the Agency, in Tripoli’s Eye Hospital.
