Those agreed facts are decided upon solely by the accused company and prosecutors. "This being just the second remediation agreement to be approved in Canada, there is still much to learn." In principle, an agreed statement of facts cannot be unsettled based on the possible existence of contradictory evidence." But Espino’s experience highlights a potential flaw in the process: the judges who decide whether to approve the deals are unable to consider whether the agreed facts that underpin the agreements are true. Those agreed facts are decided upon solely by the accused company and prosecutors. “When presented with a remediation agreement, a court must accept the facts as exposed by the prosecutor and the accused organization,” David wrote. Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity in Libya, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, announced the lifting of the air embargo imposed on Libyan civilian aviation over Italian airspace after being in place for approximately 10 years. Dbeibah stated in a tweet on Twitter today, Sunday, that the Italian government "has decided to lift its air embargo to resume direct flights between Libya and Italy in September of this year." Dbeibah commended the efforts of the transportation sector and the Libyan-Italian committee formed for this purpose, praising the efforts of all those who contributed to achieving this breakthrough in facilitating visa issuance and air navigation between the two countries. Earlier, Dbeibah formed a committee to communicate with Italy to lift the Italian embargo on Libyan civilian aviation, in light of the improved relations between the two countries, especially after signing a contract worth eight billion dollars with "ENI" in January of last year for investment in two offshore gas fields. Some airlines have started to resume operations in the past two years, such as Tunisair and EgyptAir.

Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, prime minister of the Tripoli-based government, said on Twitter that the Italian government of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni informed his government of the decision. Italy and other European countries banned Libyan flights from their airspace as the country descended into chaos. Over the past decade, Libya has had direct flights to limited destinations, including cities in neighboring Egypt and Tunisia, and other Middle Eastern countries, such as Jordan. A Libyan government statement said the two countries have agreed that one airliner from each country would operate flights starting in September.

CAIRO (AP) — One of Libya’s rival governments says commercial flights between Italy and conflict-torn Libya will resume in September after the Italian government agreed to lift a 10-year-long ban on civil aviation in the North African nation. Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, prime minister of the Tripoli-based government, said on Twitter that the Italian government of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni informed his government of the decision Sunday. He called the removal of the ban a “breakthrough.” Oil-rich Libya plunged into chaos after a NATO-backed uprising toppled and killed longtime dictator Moammar Gadhafi in 2011. In the disarray that followed, the country split into rival administrations in the east and west, each backed by rogue militias and foreign governments. The USA has been the strongest economy in the world since the Second World War. It possessed almost two thirds of the global gold reserves which gave it immense financial strength and consequently legitimized the US Dollar as a Global Reserve Currency. The same confidence is being shown by the yuan as Pakistan has reportedly paid yuan to Russia in return for crude oil. These are all prerequisites for a currency to attain global reserve status and China certainly possesses a leverage in that regard. It has lent military and economic support to Pakistan and has been its most reliable diplomatic partner as well, especially in the UN.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Sunday said it had arrested one of the two main human traffickers in connection with the Greece and Libya shipwreck tragedies. Last month, an Italy-bound fishing trawler reportedly carrying at least 800 people — including approximately 350 Pakistanis — capsized off Greece. The incident led to a day of mourning along with the launch of a nationwide crackdown on human smugglers with many subsequently arrested. According to a statement from the FIA spokesperson issued today, Mohammad Saleem Saniyare — a key figure in the Greek tragedy — was arrested in Gujrat in a major operation by the watchdog’s local team. On Monday, the FIA had decided to blacklist the passports of the suspected human traffickers involved in the Greek shipwreck incident and charge them under the Anti-Money Laundering Act.

The decision was announced after a meeting between Libyan and Italian officials and after technical teams from both sides had discussed the results of a field visit in May related "to checking safety procedures at Libyan airports", it said.
