More than half of the respondents to the survey said Ireland’s high cost of living and ongoing inflation are the primary barriers to achieving their financial aspirations. This comes after years of rocketing food and energy inflation, higher mortgage costs and motor fuel price rises. Chief executive of the Capital Credit Union Pat Byrne said the survey findings reveal a nuanced picture of financial stability in Ireland. “Our survey would seem to point to a ‘two heads are better than one’ strategy in many households.”Capital Credit Union has over 50,000 members and several branches across south Dublin.

The reporter has omitted mentioning all the money Andrew paid up front. From Wikipedia:In August 2003, Prince Andrew, Duke of York was granted a lease agreement by the Crown Estate for 75 years. The property leased included Royal Lodge, a Gardener's Cottage, the Chapel Lodge, six Lodge Cottages, and police security accommodation in addition to 40 hectares of land. The lease agreement required Prince Andrew to carry out, at his own expense, refurbishments under-estimated at £7.5 million at September 2002 prices, excluding VAT. Plus it was all deliciousIt was time to look at the greatest climate offenders in my life: Shopping and travel. For my trip from Cork to London, I paid €2.85 to offset 0.18MT of CO2 emissions — so all was not lost. And hopefully, together, we can help put a plaster on this glorious world we live in.

Ask a fund manager investing in UK shares what is his or her biggest problem and the answer you are likely to get is: redemption. They are, however, pointing to a crisis of confidence in the UK stock market. Over the past months and years, redemptions by small savers from funds that invest in UK shares have been taking place on a worrying scale. Irish MEP Clare Daly has likened the pro-Palestinian Trinity College Dublin encampment to the Vietnam protests of the 1970s, telling students in an address on campus that their actions too will “change history”. Security personnel are in place at the entrance to the campus, with valid college IDs required to gain access. The Independents 4 Change politician also criticised Ursula Von Der Leyen, president of the European Commission, who she called ‘Frau Genocide’ in her address to Trinity College protesters. You are the real leaders.”A Trinity College spokesperson said Trinity respects the strong stance expressed by the people participating in the encampment protest and blockade, and support the right to peaceful protest. “Trinity is always open to engaging with staff and students on these issues: in the past week alone, the Provost has met with Academics for Palestine and also with the Students’ Union President and Students’ Union officers to discuss these issues.

An Italian court placed under judicial administration a company owned by Armani accused of indirectly subcontracting production to Chinese companies that exploited workers. Labour violations are more usually associated with fast fashion brands operating factories out of China and southeast Asia and selling clothing for unfeasibly low prices. The Armani court case came just weeks after a Bloomberg investigation raised questions about LVMH-owned luxury label Loro Piana. The label is known for eye-wateringly expensive high-end goods: Kendall Roy, played by Jeremy Strong, often sported a €500 Loro Piana cap in Succession. The opaque nature of fashion supply chains is partly responsible.

My wife freaked out, saying I am having an "emotional affair" and that's worse than having sex with the colleague. I feel it shouldn't matter what gender my friend is, and my wife is being ridiculous. I can see both sides here and why both of you think you’re right and, in one sense, you are. Your wife felt threatened when she saw you having fun with another woman, no matter how innocent it is, and she got worried. I’m doing a course at the moment and "sources of conflict" came up a few weeks back , and that might explain what happened here.
