Meanwhile, a goods-laden truck, en route to Noney, was torched on National Highway 37 in Tamenglong at around 6 am on Wednesday. Tamenglong and Noney are Naga-majority districts. Alleging that Kuki militants were involved in the incident, the Rongmei Naga Students’ Organization announced a “total boycott” of all supplies to the Kukis in the two districts. One person was injured in the attack.

Addressing the power ministers conference chaired by Union Power minister Manohar Lal Khattar in New Delhi, deputy chief minister and minister for Energy KV Singh Deo said Odisha is prioritising energy storage solutions with plans for over 10,000 MW of pumped storage plants (PSP). Singh Deo also called for central assistance in building the green energy corridor phase-III to connect renewable energy projects with the national grid. “Odisha has ensured energy security of its citizens by sourcing 8,856 MW power. The state is also planning to develop 10,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2030,” he said. New Delhi: In a significant breakthrough syndicate involved in providing fake Indian identity documents to Nepali nationals intending to travel abroad has been busted by the IGI police. According to reports, the syndicate was found creating fake Indian documents including Aadhaar and Voter ID cards, for Nepali nationals to help them obtain Indian passports. Two Nepali nationals posing as Indian passport holders, were intercepted at IGI Airport in Delhi while attempting to depart for Cambodia. Nepali nationals Dinesh Subba and Shyam Subba entered India illegally and were advised by an agent to obtain fake Indian documents. At least 16 people were killed and one woman was injured Tuesday when a bus carrying wedding guests fell into the Indus river in Pakistan's mountainous Gilgit-Baltistan region, police said. The bus was travelling from Astore to Punjab’s Chakwal district when it fell from the Telchi bridge into the river, the Dawn newspaper reported. “The vehicle was part of a wedding procession heading towards Punjab’s Chakwal district,” he said. “Nineteen of them belonged to Astore, while four were from the Chakwal district of Punjab,” Riaz said. In October, two people were killed and 36 others were injured when a Rawalpindi-bound passenger bus fell into a ravine in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Upper Kohistan area.

NEW YORK: A judge on Tuesday put off a key ruling in President-elect Donald Trump's hush money case as his lawyers argued for dismissing it so he can run the country. Trump's lawyers and prosecutors had agreed in recent days to the one-week postponement, according to emails filed in court Tuesday. Trump lawyer Emil Bove, meanwhile, argued that throwing out the case is "necessary to avoid unconstitutional impediments to President Trump's ability to govern." Trump's lawyers cited that ruling to argue that the hush money jury got some evidence it shouldn't have, such as Trump's presidential financial disclosure form and testimony from some White House aides. While urging Merchan to nix the conviction, the president-elect has also been trying to move the case to federal court.
