जागरण संवाददाता, देवरिया। बाइक और पिकअप की आमने-सामने हुई टक्कर में पत्नी की जिंदा जलकर मौके पर ही मृत्यु हो गई, जबकि पति गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया। घटना रविवार की भोर में खुखुंदू थाना क्षेत्र के मगहरा चौराहे पर हुई। मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस में फायर ब्रिगेड को सूचना देकर आग बुझवाया और मृत्यु महिला केशव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेजा। गंभीर रूप से घायल मृतक के पति का उपचार महर्षि देवरहा बाबा मेडिकल कॉलेज में चल रहा है।घायल पति को एंबुलेंस से अस्पताल भेजा गया अलसुबह में मगहरा चौराहा पर बाइक व पिकअप के बीच जोरदार टक्कर हो गई। टक्कर इतनी जोरदार थी की बाइक सवार व्यक्ति अपनी पत्नी समेत पिकअप के नीचे घुस गया। इस दौरान अचानक आग लग गई। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची तो देखा कि पिकअप और मोटरसाइकिल में आग लगी हुई थी।पुलिस की सूचना पर पहुंची फायर ब्रिगेड ने बुझाई आग घटना में मोटरसाइकिल चालक गिरीजा शंकर मिश्र उम्र 52 वर्ष पुत्र स्व. गंगा शरण मिश्र निवासी ग्राम अमाव थाना बरहज जनपद देवरिया गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से उन्हें तत्काल 108 एंबुलेंस के जरिए अस्पताल भेजा गया, जहां उनका उपचार चल रहा है। हादसे में उनकी पत्नी रेनू मिश्र की मौके पर ही जिंदा जलकर मृत्यु हो गई। पुलिस ने मृतका के शव को कब्जे में ले लिया।

Israel fired airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, killing at least 11 Palestinians, Palestinian officials said, in what the military called a response to ceasefire violations by Palestinian militant group Hamas. An Israeli military official called Sunday's strikes "precise" and in line with international law, and said the Palestinian militant group had repeatedly violated an October ceasefire. The official said militants had emerged from a tunnel on the Israeli side of the "Yellow Line" agreed under the ceasefire to demarcate Israeli- and Hamas-controlled areas. The Gaza health ministry says that at least 600 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since the Gaza deal began.

A 22-year-old Indian student has been found dead in California, days after he was reported missing. Saketh Sreenivasaiah, a postgraduate student at University of California, Berkeley, had been missing since February 9, authorities said. The Indian Consulate in San Francisco confirmed that his body was recovered from Lake Anza on Sunday. The Consulate expressed condolences to the family and assured full assistance, including support for the repatriation of his body to India. He had earlier completed his B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
