CNN —Forty-two people have been killed or left missing after two strikes in central Gaza on Saturday, according to the Hamas-controlled Government Media Office. The Director of the Media Office, Ismail Al-Thawabtah, told CNN that the strikes had occurred at Al Shati camp and in the nearby Al Tuffah neighborhood. The Civil Defense Directorate said 19 bodies had been retrieved after the strike in Al Tuffah, where more than 35 people were injured. The other strike was against a residential block in Al Shati, also near Gaza City. Israel launched its offensive in Gaza following the Hamas attacks of October 7, which killed around 1,200 people.

A massive explosion on Tuesday evening near Chad’s capital city of N’Djamena killed at least nine and injured 46 others, according to a statement from its foreign minister. According to an official statement, a substantial number of visitors flocked to museums and archaeological sites over the past three days of Eid. The Giza Pyramids alone saw 28,500 visitors, divided as follows: 8,000 on the first day, 10,500 on the second day, and 10,000 on the third day. The Citadel area had about 3,700 visitors, the Graeco-Roman Museum in Alexandria saw 3,700 visitors, and the Prince Mohamed Ali Palace in Manial had 570 visitors. CAIRO - 18 June 2024: The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the health system has lost more than 70 percent of its clinical capacity in the Gaza Strip and is struggling to support the remaining hospitals, according to Al-Qahera News TV Channel. The Ministry of Health said: "We are working to establish field hospitals despite the inability to provide the minimum basic services." The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has continued since the 7th of last October, claiming thousands of martyrs and tens of thousands of injuries, in addition to the destruction of buildings and roads. The health system in the Gaza Strip is suffering from a very difficult situation, starting with the almost collapsed ambulance system, as the Israeli occupation bombed about 108 ambulances, and 11 hospitals out of 36 are partially operating.
