Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar said that six new technological universities are under construction across the country. He pointed out that there a study started to establish three technological universities (New Cairo University for Technology, Beni Suef University for Technology, and Delta Technology University). Abdel-Ghaffar said that the state encourages the establishment of branches of prestigious international universities in Egypt, to provide education at an international level inside Egypt. The minister noted the internationalization of educational programs by providing study programs that grant dual academic degrees in the fields of (artificial intelligence, medicine, engineering and business administration). CAIRO – 21 May 2022: Belgium's Ambassador to Egypt, François cornet d'elzius, confirmed that the visit of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Brussels last February, where he was received by King Philippe of Belgium, reflected deep relations between both countries in many fields. CAIRO - 21 May 2022: Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El-Sayyed el Qussair said Friday that the latest global crises showed the importance of increasing local food production. He further underlined that the food gap in African countries amounted to about dlrs 50 billion annually. Also, about 280 million Africans suffered from food insecurity and malnutrition, he added. Arable land in Africa is underutilized with only about 50 percent being cultivated, the minister stressed. Increasing food production requires cooperation and coordination between African countries to ensure the optimal use of available agricultural resources, achieve sustainable agricultural development, provide food security, and achieve the African Development Agenda 2063, the minister said.
