Some customers reported that Bell is raising the monthly cost of its existing wireless plans in February. e-mail [email protected]The idea that Canadians should bear the burden of searching for cheaper prices doesn’t sit well with one competition expert. Under this agreement, Videotron was forced to reduce prices, but the lowest price the government could charge was $68 per month. In April, the CEO of Rogers Communications pledged that prices would fall following its merger with Shaw Communications. But studies comparing phone and internet prices around the world continue to detail exorbitant prices in Canada.

ABC NewsSpecial counsel Jack Smith's team has uncovered previously undisclosed details about former President Donald Trump's refusal to help stop the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol three years ago as he sat watching TV inside the White House, according to sources familiar with what Smith's team has learned during its Jan. 6 probe. Many of the exclusive details come from the questioning of Trump's former deputy chief of staff, Dan Scavino, who first started working for Trump as a teenager three decades ago and is now a paid senior adviser to Trump's reelection campaign. New details also come from the Smith team's interviews with other White House advisers and top lawyers who -- despite being deposed in the congressional probe -- previously declined to answer questions about Trump's own statements and demeanor on Jan. 6, 2021, according to publicly released transcripts of their interviews in that probe.

The bridge, located within Toronto’s largest Jewish area, was the site of numerous demonstrations by anti-Israel activists. That prompted Toronto police to close the bridge during the protests, prompting criticism of police kowtowing to protestors over enforcing the law. “Their top priority is maintaining order in a tense environment on the Avenue Road bridge,” she said. “ Police bringing food and coffee to demonstrators in the current context of the protests in Toronto was a very poor decision by Toronto Police,” he posted to X.

Shortly after noon on Friday, RCAF Challenger 144619 departed Ottawa International Airport, ferrying a repair party to Jamaica. Tri-Caucus Chairs Joint Statement on Third Anniversary of the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol f t # e Washington , January 6, 2024 | (202.702.0797) Today marks three years since the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. January 6, 2021, was a call-back to the most egregious, brutal incidents of our past in an attempt to silence communities of color and allow an electoral loser to cling to power. Meanwhile, federal and state legislators across the country continue their assault on voting rights and the strength of our democracy in service of their ultimate goal: restrict our freedoms and do the bidding of the wealthy few. “We are committed to supporting ongoing law enforcement efforts to hold every criminal conspirator accountable and to pass additional federal legislation beyond the Electoral Count Reform Act, like the Freedom to Vote Act and John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, to protect, secure and strengthen every American’s voting rights. Only when that happens will we as a nation begin to fully reckon with January 6.” f t # e

Climate Change is clearly the world’s most serious developing problem that is already affecting the cost and quality of life everywhere. Pierre Poilievre has shown no credible ideas to move in sync with the world on climate change issues. Polls can change in the 22 months before the mandatory 2025 election, and the Conservatives have put themselves in a tough spot. Moderate Conservatives don’t trust Poilievre but out of some deep-rooted sense of loyalty cannot bring themselves to vote for Trudeau. They rationalize their position by saying they would vote Liberal if the eminently capable Mark Carney became Liberal leader.

For the second time in nearly four months, breakdowns prompted the Royal Canadian Air Force to dispatch rescue aircraft to bring home Canada’s prime minister from an overseas visit. “The first aircraft that transported the prime minister’s party became unserviceable after arrival,” Department of National Defence Spokesperson Andrée-Anne Poulin told CBC News. Shortly after noon Sunday, RCAF Challenger 144619 departed Ottawa International Airport, ferrying the repair party to Jamaica. Both planes departed Jamaica later that evening roughly 30 minutes apart, arriving safely back in Ottawa. Late last year, the RCAF took delivery of the first of a series of planes meant to replace the Polaris , the CC-330 Husky.
