There is a new sport growing in Argentina, and no, it’s not the 90s revival of padel — it’s pickleball. After Carr left, these friends would play pickleball for hours on Sundays, when the club was closed. Pickleball still isn’t nearly as profitable as padel or tennis in Argentina, but it’s built with love and passion for the game.

The strike was planned by airport healthcare workers, firefighters, inspectors, administrative staff and land control personnel employed by the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) who are represented by ATE. According to the union, the strike was announced after the government failed to pay ANAC workers a salary raise that had been agreed by both parties. “Any cancellation or reschedule will be the sole responsibility of the national government,” said in an X post ATE leader Rodolfo Aguiar. The measure was suspended after the salaries were paid without the raise and a meeting was called for them to negotiate. Opposition deputies submitted a request for information to the lower house, after Adorni confirmed during an interview that his spouse, Bettina Angeletti, was “invited by the President’s office” to join the official delegation. “The truth is, it was my wish that she would accompany me,” he told journalist Eduardo Feinmann, from A24 news channel, speaking from New York. Critics highlighted that just a week ago, the office of the Chief of Staff issued an Administrative Decision that limited official trips abroad to a maximum of one official per international event or activity, to optimize resources. The measure requires substantiated justification for expanding delegations and establishes that the chief of staff is the person responsible for approving the transfer of ministers or other officials in equivalent positions. According to Clarín newspaper, Adorni’s wife was not the only spouse accompanying the Argentine officials in New York.
