Forecasters say Hurricane Tammy could turn back toward the U.S. East Coast in the coming week, but not at hurricane strength. Meanwhile, a tropical depression that had formed off the east coast of Nicaragua has traveled inland and is dissipating. Beyond that, it could travel toward the east coast of the U.S., but models are in disagreement. Those were Hurricane Lee, a rare Category 5; Hurricane Franklin, a Category 4; and Hurricane Idalia, which made landfall on Florida’s Big Bend region at Category 3 strength on Aug. 30. Hurricane season officially runs through Nov. 30.
