President William Ruto has said he has no qualms being referred to as the biblical Zacchaeus as long as Kenyans pay taxes that will help him transform the country. It is while making the remarks that he reiterated, yet again, that being referred to as the biblical Zacchaeus was not a problem to him. "Bora tujenge Kenya hii; watu wapate manyumba, tuwe na universal health coverage na watoto wetu wapate ajira, Zakayo ni jina tuendele mbele." A section of disgruntled Kenyans compared his tax measures to that of biblical Zacchaeus, who was a tax collector in Jericho. I will continue to do the right thing for our country irrespective of the names people call me including Zakayo," Ruto said.
