With the onset of COVID in 2020, Clare Semes and Kelly Zimba Lukić, members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, began to look for ways to keep their musical skills sharp while delivering joy to others. A recent addition to their repertoire: delivering musical telegrams to scores of delighted Torontonians. The Toronto Symphony completely shut down and we didn’t have any live performances on our schedule. And as COVID retreats, live musical requests are growing. “We’ve done a few concerts at workplaces to welcome people back into the office after a long time away,” Lukić said.
