The 2023 NHL draft will be June 28–29 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, and the Stars do not have a first-round pick after trading it to New York Rangers for Nils Lundkvist. It should be a loaded draft, but Dallas currently only has picks in two of the first four rounds. Dallas traded a conditional 2023 fourth-round pick to Arizona in 2022 for backup goalie Scott Wedgewood.
