The victim came across a man he did not know in the corridor of her apartment building in Westminster’s New Cavendish Street around 11.40pm on July 30. (Image: Met Police)After she challenged him, he followed her into her flat and put his hand over her mouth, trying to push his way inside. The victim’s partner came to the rescue from inside and chased the stranger off. “Can you help?”Police have released CCTV images of the suspect, described as white, 5ft 9in and balding, wearing a grey t-shirt and blue jeans. Anyone who recognises the suspect or who has information is asked to call the police on 101, quoting 8868/30JUL.
