During the first 11 months of 2023, the value of Egyptian exports to Libya increased to record $1.6 billion, compared to $1.1 billion during the same period in 2022, an increase of 48 percent. The most important commodities that Egypt exported to Libya during 2023 are: ceramics and stones worth $322.5 million, plastics worth $145.8 million, fuel and oils worth $123.4 million. According to the data, the value of Egypt’s imports from Libya reached $61.7 million, compared to $85.5 million during the same period in 2022, a decrease of 28 percent. The most important commodities that Egypt imported from Libya during 2023, Iron and steel valued at $39.2 million, and inorganic chemical products worth $15.3 million. The value of Libyan investments in Egypt recorded $19.9 million during the FY 2022/2023 compared to $19.3 million during the FY 2021/2022, an increase of 3.1 percent.
