The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand is also in contact with Thai authorities to promptly guide the victims' families on posthumous procedures when permitted. Thai police reported on July 16 about six bodies, including four Vietnamese and two Vietnamese Americans, in room 502 of the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel in Bangkok.
