Vietnam, China hold regular deputy foreign ministers’ meetingThe annual Vietnam-China deputy foreign ministers’ meeting was held in China’s Guangzhou province on February 5-6 to review the bilateral ties in 2017 and discuss the focus of exchange activities and cooperation between the two countries in 2018, along with other issues in the relationship. Vietnam’s Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung (R) and his Chinese counterpart Kong Xuanyou. The meeting was attended by Vietnam’s Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung and his Chinese counterpart Kong Xuanyou. China has remained Vietnam’s biggest trade partner and Vietnam has become China’s largest trade partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), they said. During his stay in Guangzhoung, Deputy Foreign Minister Trung met with Guangdong Province Governor Ma Xingrui and Guangdong Deputy Governor Ouyang Weimin.
