People joining social insurance up 1.14 percent in two monthsThe number of people participating in compulsory social insurance and unemployment insurance in the first two months of 2022 recorded year-on-year increases of 1.14 percent and 1.02 percent, respectively, according to Vietnam Social Security (VSS). The signing of the MoU aims to specify the scope of cooperation in health insurance, facilitating frequent exchanges between the VSS and US partners towards the sustainable development of the health insurance system in Vietnam. Under the agreement, the sides will bolster cooperation in health insurance, particularly in the development of sustainable universal health insurance coverage; assessing the quality of medical equipment and services covered by health insurance; and health insurance payment verification. Therefore, the Vietnam Social Security proposed the Ministry of Health to handle the arising obstacles.
