A statement, delivered by the Coordination des Associations et des Particuliers pour la Liberté de Conscience, a non-governmental organization with special consultative status, was presented to the United Nations Secretary-General. Shemelese Assefa and I waited outside the United Nations Office, sitting on a curbside bench near the visitors’ entrance.
