Eyewitnesses report that the driver initially feigned concern but later fled the scene, leaving Nelson’s body, which was later discovered by a police patrol team around Korle Bu. The University added that it is working closely with the Police Service to identify and apprehend the driver suspected to be responsible for the student’s untimely death. The University also announced plans to engage state and municipal authorities, including transport, road safety, and local government agencies, to review and implement enhanced safety measures in and around the South Legon community.
