Throughout his illness, he maintained a positive outlook, often expressing his willingness to suffer for the sake of others and for the Pope. The process of canonization began after Acutis’s death, with Pope Francis recognizing the first miracle attributed to him in 2020. This recognition was a significant step towards sainthood, requiring the verification of a second miracle for canonization to proceed.
